Dogs In Need of Rescue

Dear Friends,

This is an update on our plea we sent out a few days ago. Thank you for those who responded, especially our fellow California rescues who stepped up to take several dogs (see update below). A number of dogs were adopted or rescued, but unfortunately quite a few have arrived at the shelter since, so the Humboldt County Animal Shelter is still quite FULL and all dogs are available to be pulled through rescue. Some are on the euthanasia list.

If you have any other questions please get in touch with us. Please forward this email to any other group or person that might be able to save a dog’s life! It is through the efforts of friends like you that we are able to keep the shelter from having to euthanize for space.

	BENTLEY (A058967)	Male	Black	Queensland Heeler mix	3 years old	He is too timid in his kennel, so not offered up for adoption. He growls submissively in his kennel. Out of his kennel he is playful and happy-go-lucky. Just takes a bit to warm up. He will probably need entropion surgery on bottom lids in the near future.
	A058986	Male	Brown Brindle	Pit Bull Terrier	2 years old	There is a chance he will still be offered up for adoption BUT right now he is too shy in his kennel. Out of his kennel, he is also happy-go-lucky. Seems dog friendly as well! He was stranded on The South Jetty for 2 weeks-someone abandoned him there!!
